The 5K Celebration of Life raises awareness about the importance of organ & tissue donation and will help save lives. We need your support!

Please join our team John's Journey Tom's Spirit,on Sunday, June 7 in New Providence or make a contribution to a team member to get us one step closer to our fundraising goal. 

This year we will be walking in honor and memory of both John and Tom who are no doubt watching over is sharing a drink or two and smiling over their family's and friends.

John received a life saving hear transplant in June of 2012 giving him an additional 14 years of life and memories with his family and friends. He also received a kidney transplant in 2018 in which his son, John Patrick, become a live donor and donated a kidney to a transplant chain to not only save his dad, but another life waiting for donation. John passed away earlier this year from cancer. This walk means even more to his family now 

Tom lived with chronic kidney disease his whole life receiving life saving kidney transplants 3 times. At the time of his passing, he was awaiting his 4th. He was able to become a donor himself donating his cornea's to help another see.

Over 100,000 people in the United States are waiting for a life-saving transplant and nearly 4,000 live right here in New Jersey. Tens of thousands more need life-enhancing tissue or cornea transplants each year. One organ and tissue donor can save 8 lives and enhance the lives of over 75 others. But the waiting list is long and for many, organ and tissue donation can mean the difference between life and death. Your support brings us one step closer to providing the greatest gift of all… the gift of life.
