For Him, Always

My uncle Sal was the kind of person you don’t come across often. He showed up for his family, always. He had a big presence, a bigger heart, and a way of making everyone around him feel loved without even trying.

This 5K is something that means a lot to my family. It’s not just about running—it’s about honoring who he was and keeping his name and his story alive.

I’m running alongside Julia—his daughter. She’s running for her dad, and I’m running for my uncle. I’m so happy to run by her side to honor him together and continue to live for him and the legacy he left behind. It means everything to be able to do this together.

We’re also running to support the mission of the NJ Sharing Network—to raise awareness for organ donation and give hope to others. His final act helped save lives, and that’s something we will always carry with us.
