I am participating in NJ Sharing Network's 5K Celebration of Life, and I am walking every step in honor of my son, Johnathan.

Johnathan was full of life, love, and light. He had a spirit that left a mark on everyone he encountered. One word that always captured who he was is "YESSIR." It was more than something he said. It was his energy, his joy, and the beautiful way he showed up in this world every single day.

No parent is ever prepared for the kind of loss that changes everything. But in the middle of my grief, I made a choice. I chose to honor Johnathan's legacy by standing behind a mission that gives others the gift of hope, healing, and life. NJ Sharing Network's work is sacred to me because organ and tissue donation does not just save lives. It carries love forward in ways that words can barely hold.

I am walking this 5K for Johnathan. I am walking for every life-giving hero who said yes. For every recipient who was given more time. For every family who knows what it means to lose someone and to find meaning in that loss.
