I’m participating in the NJ Sharing Network’s 5K Celebration of Life in honor of my dad, Ed Dewey, and to help raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

My dad was a loving husband, father, and proud Pop Pop — known for his strong personality, quick wit, and a heart that would help anyone in need. He lived life fully and gave to others whenever he could. That giving spirit continued even after his passing, as he was an organ donor. His final act of generosity gave the gift of life to someone in Florida, and our family finds comfort knowing his legacy lives on in such a meaningful way.

Funds raised through the Sharing Network Foundation support families impacted by donation and transplantation, as well as research and education to help give the gift of life to those in need.
