Hey, there!
I’m participating in NJ Sharing Network’s 5K Celebration of Life to help raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.
I hope you can join me and our It's Sheila's World team in New Providence on Sunday, June 8, or support my fundraising efforts by making a contribution. We walk for those who are waiting for a life-saving transplant and in memory of Sheila's angel donor.
At just three weeks old, Sheila was diagnosed with Biliary Atresia and underwent a life-saving Kasai procedure to manage her liver condition, which allowed her to live a relatively normal life despite recurring hospitalizations. In August 2023, her liver began to fail, and after months of anxiety and waiting, she received a transplant in April 2024. Throughout her journey, Sheila has shown remarkable strength and resilience, facing every challenge with courage and a smile. Today, she is a joyful, energetic child who embraces life fully and proudly wears her scars as symbols of survival and strength.
Funds raised through the Sharing Network
Foundation
support families that have been touched by donation and transplantation as well as research and education to help give the gift of life to those in need of life-saving organ and tissue transplants.
Thank you for your support and for joining me to honor those who gave, pay tribute to those who received, offer hope to those who continue to wait, and remember the lives lost while waiting for the gift of life.
