What's Up Family!

It's been 2.5 years since my Bud took his final ride.  I suspect he is doing the things he loved, driving, watching NASCAR and hanging with his siblings, at least this is what I imagine.  I also imagine he is often scolded for his lack of filter.. 

I am forever grateful the gift of organ donation because he was a two time kidney recipient both from a deceased donor.  My mom and I are so grateful to those families that said yes to donation during such a difficult time in their lives and I will continue to honor the memory of both the donors and my Bud.  

In honor of him, and the many others who have received the gift of life I am participating in NJ Sharing Network’s 5K Celebration of Life to help raise awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation.

Funds raised through this event will assist in building awareness about the importance of organ donation so that other families have a chance to have more:

  • More chances to say I love you
  • More opportunities to take a photo
  • Just MORE
