“Saving Lives Through Organ and Tissue Donation”

On what would have been Chuck’s birthday, we are coming together to celebrate his life, his legacy, and his generous spirit by participating in the NJ Sharing Network’s 5K Celebration of Life. This special event honors the heroes who gave or received the gift of life and brings hope to the nearly 4,000 individuals still waiting for a life-saving transplant.

Chuck — lovingly known as “Charlie” to his Con Ed family — was an extraordinary husband, father, Pop-Pop, and a true “MacGyver.” From fixing garage doors to crafting custom tools, Chuck’s garage was the first stop for anyone in need. Even our parish priests knew where to turn when they needed a handmade cross, a manger, or custom frames for the Stations of the Cross.

A civil engineer by profession, Chuck was also a master carpenter, talented guitarist, car enthusiast, proud Harley owner, and even a devoted cat rescuer. His zest for life and ability to connect with others turned strangers into lifelong friends.

In true Chuck fashion, his legacy continues through his life-giving eye and tissue donations.
