Almost one year has passed since we lost our beloved John Patrick — a bright light in all our lives. John lived every day with energy, passion, and purpose. He was full of life, always embracing new adventures and checking off bucket list dreams that many only imagine. Whether he was surrounded by family, friends, or new acquaintances, John had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved. His joy was contagious, and his love for life and people was unmatched.

As we approach this one-year mark without him, it feels especially meaningful that the Sharing Network Walk is taking place on the very same day. This year, we are walking in honor of John’s beautiful life and legacy — and to raise awareness about the powerful impact of organ and tissue donation.

Many of us are familiar with the life-saving potential of donating organs like the heart, lungs, and kidneys. But there is so much more we can do. Through the Sharing Network, people can also give hope and healing through donations of bone, skin grafts, corneas, and more. These gifts can transform lives in ways we don’t always hear about — and they all matter deeply.
