Welcome Back Team Hailey!

I am thrilled that 5K Celebration of Life season is here; a time for us all to come together to celebrate my beautiful daughter's life and love. This year will be Team Hailey's seventh year participating in the Celebration of Life which will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Ocean Grove, NJ. 2025 will be an impactful year - as the Sharing Network Foundation celebrates 15 Years of the 5K Celebration of Life, but we are recognizing Hailey's eight Angelversary; the number 8 was Hailey's lucky number.

A little bit about Hailey: Hailey was an energetic and good-hearted girl; you always saw her smiling and heard her contagious laugh. Hailey had a tremedous amount of friends - she was the life of the party!

Hailey's Story: In May 2017, Hailey was in a horrific car accident - she left us way too soon. Hailey was a sophomore in high school when she passed away; at such a young age, she had a dream of wanting to save lives. In high school, Hailey was involved in the Junior ROTC Program. With her involvement in this program, Hailey wanted to enlist in the Air Force, to then enroll in school which would land her a job as a surgeon. As said before, her dream was to save lives. When our family was approached in the hospital by the NJ Sharing Network, we thought what better way to live out Hailey's dream for her than to donate her organs to someone in need. Through organ donation, Hailey saved five lives and continues to give a better quality of life to those through bone and tissue donation. Because of the NJ Sharing Network, we have been in contact with two of Hailey's organ recipients. It has been the most wonderful feeling knowing that Hailey's organs has given them a better quality of life.

We have decided to create Team Hailey not only to participate in the 5K because of organ donation, but to honor Hailey - our precious daughter, sister, and friend. Hailey continues to live in spirit thru friends and family. Participating in the 5K Celebration of Life and gathering together always makes it feel as if Hailey is walking right alongside of us.
